“New Beginnings”

We ALL need a new beginning, whether it’s getting our muse back and painting again, or a resolution, or enjoying nature…whatever.  We are here to let people know art is a part of it…creating a new beginning!

“Women Who Dare”

Danville Village Theatre Art Gallery:  March 24 – May 20, Reception: Thursday, March 24
An exhibition, by Bay Area Studio Artists, that celebrates trailblazing women from history and today.

“Range of Light”

Main Street Arts:  May 4 – June 19, Reception: May 14 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
This show features a collaborative painting, by the Bay Area Studio Artists, of John Muir who was a naturalist and early advocate for the preservation of wilderness.  This show will also include other paintings from Bay Area Studio Artists.

“Celebrating Summer”

Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery:  June 2 – June 29
Artwork will depict how artists experience summer.  Summer can be hot, bright, and bold.  It can be fun, upbeat, and full of energy or lazy, long, and languid.  Summer can also be light, airy, and carefree, like shorts, flip flops and hanging out by the pool.

It’s all about our fantastic, loyal, and loving companions.

“Wellness & Wellbeing”

John Muir Aspen Center Art Gallery:  July 16 – August 19
This show will be upbeat and happy, with content that reflects “wellness” or “wellbeing” in support of the health center’s goals.

Marilyn Citron O’Rourke Gallery, Benicia Library:  July 5 – August 13
An exhibition, by Bay Area Studio Artists, that celebrates trailblazing women from history and today.

“Born to be Wild”

Main Street Arts:  Sept 2 – Oct 16, Reception: Sept 10
Theme is based on Steppenwolf’s rock and roll song “Born to be Wild”. It’s all about artists having fun, going outside the box, and creating whatever comes to mind (or comes your way).
